PZ-A 430D SculptaCast Gunmetal Grey is a soft, flexible wax developed for slushing or painting applications where smooth application and fine detail reproduction are essential. At room temperature, it remains pliable, helping to minimise the risk of cracking or damage during demoulding and handling.
When applied to a mould, this wax has a smooth, fluid consistency that allows it to flow easily during slushing or brushing. It is particularly well suited for coating intricate geometries, enabling fine surface details to be captured with minimal effort. The material spreads and levels readily, supporting the build-up of thin, uniform layers. It begins to soften at around 149°F (65°C) and fully melts at approximately 156°F (69°C).
Because of this increased flexibility and lower viscosity, PZ-A 430D performs especially well in cooler environments or during winter months, where harder waxes can become difficult to work with. It remains workable and forgiving, even at lower ambient temperatures. However, in warmer conditions, it can become quite soft, which may increase the risk of sagging, movement, or distortion after application. In these cases, cooler storage conditions or faster processing may be beneficial.
Overall, PZ-A 430D is ideal for applications requiring smooth application, excellent detail capture, and flexibility, particularly in colder working environments where ease of use is critical.
