Precizioned SculptaCast™ PZ-A 430D SculptaCast Gunmetal Grey is a versatile, flexible wax engineered for slushing and brushing applications that require smooth application and precise detail reproduction. It delivers controlled flow and consistent coverage, capturing fine detail across complex surfaces while remaining pliable at room temperature to reduce the risk of cracking during demolding and handling.
Gunmetal Grey’s low viscosity supports easier application in cooler environments without excessive heating, while in warmer conditions, controlled handling and cycle times help maintain dimensional stability and prevent distortion.
For best results, the initial coat may be applied using either slushing or brushing, depending on operator preference. When slushing, apply at 160–170°F. When brushing, apply at 170-180°F. Each subsequent coat should be applied at a temperature 10–25°F lower than the previous coat to optimize build and performance.
For optimal color retention and appearance, Gunmetal Grey should be processed and held between 160–180°F whenever practical. As with most colored wax formulations, prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures may result in gradual color variation over time. For best results, use the lowest practical operating temperature required for the application and avoid unnecessary heat exposure.
